In a 1960’s Court this house is one of a collection of flat roofed homes and the fourth house in the Court we have worked on.

The great thing about these homes is that it does not take too much structural work to make them very liveable homes..

For this house, we re-arranged the spaces to give our clients, a family with two young children, two living areas. We slightly extended the kitchen towards the boundary and reconfigured the formal dining room into two spaces – a study nook and a combined butlers pantry and laundry, with an entrance from the garage.

The floors were a mixture of 80’s tiles and carpet, so we put in new oak floors to unite all the spaces. The beautiful full height timber doors were restored and the open fire now has sympathetic bricks and a new wood burner.
