This was a new build for a large family ‘forever’ home and the clients wanted a high quality and lasting design.

Our role was primarily interior design – although we are usually involved with overall space planning and detailed discussions on the use and function of all spaces.

We designed all the joinery and determined the selection of fixtures and fittings and all furnishings. We developed an overall colour scheme consisting of stained Oak for flooring and custom made furniture, dark timber veneer contrasted with white 2 pack for the joinery and Calcutta marble as a feature throughout the house.

The downstairs area was designed primarily for the teenage children comprising their bedrooms, a guest suite, laundry and a rumpus room. A large format tile was used downstairs and carpet in the bedrooms for practical reasons. Upstairs has views of the bay – so this is where the main living area, dining area as well a large terrace is situated along with the kitchen, a butler’s pantry, master bedroom and ‘his’ and ‘hers’ walk-in-robes as well as a study.

Special attention was paid to the selection of the feature lighting throughout. The furniture was selected to be ‘forever’ pieces and key pieces of artwork were commissioned.
